What do you have? Double-minded or Double tongue or Maybe Both.
James 1:7-8
For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
1 Timothy 3:8 “Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain.”
The above two verses are for two categories of people, firstly category are people with double mind in RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD. They always fight within them with different opinions whether to believe God or not and looks for an alternative to succeed in life. People who are not saved and Unknown about the true God falls in this category some time even Christian falls in this zone by not trusting and keeping faith in the Lord.
The second category people who has a double tongue in RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE. They lies to each other saying empty words, false statements,Cheating people , using others for their benefits. They always judge people by their financial status and it’s pride often tells them that judgment is okay because we are and know better than the other person. In essence, our insecurity and pride reveal the judgment of souls through our criticism, gossip, and assumptions of others. But God is not fazed by our judgmental hearts. In fact, He even called out the priest Samuel for judging by appearance In 1 Samuel 16:7. Few Pastors, Deacons, Bishops, Evangelist’s and believers in Christ may also sometime falls in this category.
SO THE CONCLUSION- The words you say will either acquit(free)you or condemn you. As long as your mind & words( tongue ) in line with the Word of God, Satan can’t touch you.
